Federica Sorba is a graphic designer and new media artist. With a background in the arts, she has been engaging with the world of new media for years, working primarily in real-time visuals and live performances, focusing on the relationship between architectural space and visual media. Her work has led her to collaborate with various artists, museums, and Italian cultural organizations such as Iosonouncane, Daniela Pes, Gio Evan, Club2Club, Recontemporary, Seminari Sogni in Terra, Club Silencio, and Artico Festival.
Recently, she has deepened her exploration of video art by integrating the discipline of projection mapping, experimenting on complex architectural surfaces, from the Venaria Royal Palace to the OGR. Producing both visual content and the mappings themselves, she has specialized in video mapping, where architectural space becomes the protagonist and vehicle for projected visual content, creating immersive experiences specifically designed around existing architecture.
Adding to this is the distinctive interactivity of her artworks, built using software like TouchDesigner, where audio messages are used to transform shapes in real time. Every part of her creative process therefore contributes to creating not just a “frontal” artwork, but an experience to immerse oneself in.

In 2024 she founded NOVA Media Studio together with media and sound artist Eduard Tampu with which they aspire to bring unique audio-visual experiences into multiple context contexts.
